Eminent Khasi Poet, dramatist, Playwright, critic and scholar. M.A. (Khasi), M.Phil & Ph.D. Born 23.12.1960, Shillong, East Khasi Hills Dist., Meghalaya. Career: Professor & former Head of Khasi Department, NEHU. Former, State Representative to Sahitya Akademi New Delhi, Former Regional Coordinator of NE Region on Capacity Building of Women Managers in Higher Education. Former Chairperson, Women’s Cell NEHU. At present is a Chairperson of All India Poetess and Dean School of Humanities, NEHU. Is a member of various Committees at NEHU, Dibrugarh University, Mizoram University and in a number of social Organizations, Literary Associations, and Poetry Societies.

Completed Five research projects and two ongoing projects. Participated in more than 400 Seminars/Symposiums/Workshops as resource person in the national and International level. Had also organised a number of Literary, research and training programmes.
Sports: was a Joint Secy. Meghalaya Boxing Association 2000-2010, Women Manager, Meghalaya Boxing Association from 2000-2010. President of Master Athlete Association Meghalaya Chapter 2017 and Chief Adviser of Meghalaya Kick-Boxing Association 2019 till date.
